RS2M Department, Department for Networks and Mobile Multimedia Services brings together teaching and research in the field of mobile multimedia networks and services in Telecom SudParis. It consists of four teams:
Mobility and security convergence: wireless data networks and security,
Service Architecture covering architectural services, the NGN convergence web, P2P, social networks, service creation, the Internet of Things.
Methods and Algorithms for networks covering optimization in general and its application to mobile networks
Cloud computing convergence, Cooperation and dynamic adaptation of ambient networks covering including dynamic configuration and adaptation of networks.
The department provides teaching in first, second and third year of the engineering school (optional networks and mobile services) in postgraduate level (MSc in computer communications networks, MSc COMNET), and continuing education. The department strengthened its teaching and research on short-range networks (WLAN, WPAN and sensor networks), in the context of cooperation and management of mobility between networks and finally the heart in a network context converged fixed-mobile-internet. The department relies on its research and development laboratory and platforms to actively contribute to the evolution of networks and mobile services. He participates in many national research projects and European. Actions of cooperation with universities and research centers are also underway.
At the Institut Telecom, the department participates in the activities of the group through the animation of three strategic projects: NGN (Next Generation Networks) CARMA (Development and Adaptation of Mobile Ambient Networks) and COOP (Combinatorics and Optimization) defining programs and initiatives such as prospective and exploratory.
The department is also part of the CNRS SAMOVAR Action at Telecom SudParis. Its main objective of strengthening research in the area of mobile services within the school by training engineers, PhD students and researchers, and strengthening links with industry and research centers.
